Maybe add a "Please tell us which version of PHP you are using" as a general guideline when subscribing or posting to the list? Is it already there?
The problem I see is that if we create a "php5-general" address, in 6 months, maybe we would like to change it back to "php-general" and create a "php6-general", which is kind of confusing.
Just my 2¢ (and maybe this is on the wrong list?)
