I think that enabling the SOAP extension by default is not really necessary (I
am a fan of having a clean core with as few extensions enabled as possible), but
it would be beneficial to include it in the distribution (provided that a
feature freeze is enforced as soon as possible -- i.e. in beta4).

It's not that my opinion counts, cause I'm just yet another PHP user...
