I never heard that rule but I don't mind waiting until Thursday. Who invented this rule? :) 5.0.0 was on a Tuesday btw.
No such rule exists :) A lot of releases happened on Thursdays by coinsidence, that's all.
4.3.9 is packaged and its in the distribution folder since yesterday. The plan is to announce it today (the usual delay to allow mirrors to rsync the binaries).
Maybe someone who is under windows may merge the hypot() fix so to be available for Windows users soon.
Too late for that. It will have to wait for 4.3.10.
I guess there is no reason to delay 5.0.2 either.
