Please note that due to a packaging mistake, when compiling without running ./buildconf, the PHP version will falsely show as 8.5.0-dev instead of -beta1. I apologize for the mistake and this process will be improved. In addition, an issue with the pipes' RFC was found that will cause a change in behavior between beta1 and the upcoming beta2. A more detailed explanation will be posted to internals@ soon. 8.5.0beta2 should be expected in 2 weeks, i.e. on 28 Aug 2025.
