As of today (Dec 31) at 24:00 UTC, PHP 8.1 is end-of-life, according to
our release process policy.[^1] This means the PHP project no longer
supports PHP 8.1. All users of PHP 8.1 are encouraged to upgrade to a
supported version of PHP.[^2]

It has been our pleasure to serve as your PHP 8.1 release managers over
the past four-and-a-half years. It's been an amazing experience to give
back to the PHP project in a small but instrumental way. Thank you for
entrusting us with this responsibility.

Happy New Year!

Ben Ramsey, Patrick Allaert, & Joe Watkins
