I know no-one is. I even agree that goto has its proper uses, and I'd
probably find a couple myself. That's not the point. If you work with
PHP professionally you know that you don't maintain only your code.
And if you ever had to maintain the likes of BASIC or shell scripting
(where goto usage is rife), you'll know how badly it can be abused.

I'm not being sanguine about this (despite the shouts of "and who are
you to have an opinion?"). I just think it's a bad idea, that's all.
