Hi,
so it seems to me like several core developers think its a worthwhile
addition to core if the class is renamed to ZipArchive (if I understood
Pierre correctly in a private IRC exchange he is ok with renaming the
class).
The idea of a PDO for archives does not seem to generate much support
among core developers.
Now as for marking it EXPERIMENTAL. This seems to be the process we have
chosen in the past for extensions that are added to core from PECL,
including the other extensions who are added in 5.2. The future relation
of PECL and core should be discussed however.
Anyways I guess Ilia has gotten sufficient feedback on the list to make
a decision now?
