 Modified files: (Branch: PHP_5_3)
 /php-src UPGRADING
 Log:
- Skeleton version taken directly from the scratchpad and tidied.
@Lukas, Johannes: This is nowhere near complete, and may contain
entries
that would be happier in NEWS, but it's OK for the beta IMHO.

So.. is someone working on completing this?

Yes. And the RMs are kept up to date :)

Could phpdoc@ be kept in the loop too?
I'd like to know when I can start converting it to DocBook...

You aren't going to be converting it to DocBook, see previous discussion. The version of the file that ends up in the manual is far too long and
complex to be useful as part of php-src.

Sorry, but the last discussion had different conclusions.

Well the last thread on the topic ("5.3 todos") stopped with Steph explaining that there are 2 different documents, one the UPGRADING guide in php-src and one being the manual and that she intends to focus the UPGRADING guide to be short and to the point for sysadmins wanting to get some idea on if the update will affect their users and the manual being the place to check for end users.

There wasn't any disagreement after that ..
I do not know if this is the perfect plan, but it doesn't sound like its totally crazy either and since she is doing the work I guess its her call. This does however mean that someone needs to write the detailed content for the manual (something that Steph afaik also raised her hand).
