hi, Announcing what?
I do not know where and when you talked to Derick but seriously, it does not matter. At all. For one, there is no release decision yet. No need to say that there is no RM either. Not you, and certainly not Derick (no offense meant, but what is happening right now is the perfect reason why I'm against Derick as RM, no matter the release). A couple of developers think they can and must discuss everything privately and consider their decisions or choices as valid. That is not the case. We need to step back and change the way we work, the way communicate, between us (core) and even more important, with our users. I do not consider the way we work as the right way. Now, I urge everyone to sit down, take a big breath and look back the pain that was the 5.3.0 release (could mention php6 too but we all know why it failed). Let take a moment(um) to rethink the way we work and get us more productive, friendly and work as a team, as we should.
