I suppose the next question has to be one of what source was used by 'The American Atlas' to put the information in that document? Presumably the proceedings of the US government?

As an aside, is there anything to prevent a copy of the database which simply removes the identified historic data until the American lawyers have milked it for all it's worth?

I have been unable to find anything on Eggert's links page that references the ACS Atlas in the manor claimed? It is just a links page to everybody elses data? So shouldn't the complaint actually IDENTIFY the data they are claiming is copied? What historic data international data is included in the ACS Atlas?

Of cause it would be nice if Olson had an historic email from ACS Publishing ;)
