PHP development needs to get better about on-boarding new developers. I've submitted a patch to the docs before, and it took months to be applied. This type of experience actively discourages new developers. agree. unfortunately I can't really do more about the issue than bumping the thread so maybe somebody both with the knowledge of pdo internals and some spare time can actually review the PR and make it possible for Guilherme to be a regular contributor.
