Well perhaps you should check .. http://www.smarty.net/ has been the home of smarty for a long time. That is another project that I rely on extensively, just as key functions from PEAR are ... and we would perhaps still have a usable phpdocumentor as well if that had not been farmed off. And had ADOdb been taken more seriously we would not have the mess that is PDO today.
