Subject: Re: [PHP-DEV] Re: PHP 5.6 life cycle
According to PHP release RFC - the date is already set. To extend support
for
5.6 you actually now need an RFC. Without the RFC any decision made by
anybody in that regard is invalid and irrelevant.
I already said yesterday that I'm going to work on an RFC, and I'm almost
done creating an initial draft for discussion.
Zeev
Look forward reading it. Would it be a good idea to list different
incentives
for upgrading to PHP 7 and how important they are? Personally I'm not sure
that having prolonged 5.6 support is a big hindrance for PHP 7 upgrading.
