An early feedback is really appreciated Thanks REQ: Location: Tampa, FL Duration: 1 year Description of Role: The Data Loss Prevention Analyst is responsible for the daily monitoring and maintenance of enterprise data loss prevention (DLP) solution using the Symantec Vontu platform. Position Summary A security\privacy specialist working with legal, privacy, security and networking professionals and will be responsible for day to day management of alerts from the DLP system. Specialists are required to answer inbound calls, address emails from client contacts, authenticate callers, and create tickets for all work as well as provide full management support and monitoring of the DLP system, as well as develop reports and business intelligence from the DLP system. The position is fast paced, team oriented, and requires adept multitasking abilities during busy times. · Provide support for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform including analysis and implementation of data loss prevention requirements. · Ability to translate regulatory data loss prevention requirements (PCI, SOX, etc.) into a functional solution specific to customer needs and creation of technical rulesets in the system to implement. (Regular expression definitions, etc) · Analyze application log sources, configure DLP collection technology to finger print databases where required. · Document custom report formats, event types, and specific finger printing requirements for use in security alerting and remediation workflow. · Respond to escalations from incident response team to provide technical expertise by coordination with appropriate external vendor support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Daily monitoring and maintenance of customer DLP systems. · Work with clients to derive business intelligence from the DLP solution via reports. · Perform and review DLP policy, workflow and system settings following established DLP change process with the assistance of operational tools and resources. · Work within the incident response system to document events and incidents. · Work closely with peers in a team environment, pair with coworkers while working on tasks, assist others by answering questions and helping with assignments. · Clearly communicate to clients both written and verbally in a way the client can easily understand and follow Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities · Background in IT infrastructure management and monitoring. Help desk experience will be essential. · Ability to analyze events and determine severity and appropriate recommended response. · Adept networking and system administration abilities. · Clear understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and networking principles. · Demonstrated organizational and scheduling skills, rigorous attention to detail. · Dedication to client service with a confident, comfortable phone presence. · Analytical ability, consultative, and communications skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with team members and with clients. · Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with clients and systematically resolve complex networking or application issues. · Self motivated, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education and Experience: · 2-4 years of Computer Networking or Network Security or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. · Unix or Linux Operating System administration experience. · Symantec (preferred) or McAfee, Websense, or RSA DLP Certifications. · Experience working with clients in a support role. · Crystal Reports or database reporting abilities encouraged. Personal qualities: · An aptitude for learning is a must. · Aggressive self starter with a great attitude and strong organizational skills. · Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment. · Manage/overcome client internal issues during an engagement. · Team player is a must.
