Two major ones are the interface to the accounting systems (the AAL - Accounting abstraction Layer) and an interface layer usng the enterprise service bus and other enterpise tools to have a generic, rules based interface rather than the 20+ point to point interfaces the current GPS (lobal Payment System) uses.
