More than 5 years experience as Sr. Application DBA ? Prior experience in application development using SQL and PL/SQL ? Strong knowledge and practical experience with Oracle Core technologies—RAC, GRID, ASM, RMAN, EM Grid Control, Data Guard, and Active/Passive Cluster Oracle technologies. ? Strong written and oral communication skills ? Strong analytical and problem solving skills ? Bachelor’s degree *? Solid Experience with the following: * • Oracle 10g or 11g databases on Linux/AIX platforms (RAC preferred). • Windows and Linux (RedHat) server platforms • Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager Grid Control to monitor, manage, and tune databases • Database backup and recovery methods using RMAN, Data Pump and other industry standard tools • Use of structured methodology (RUP experience a plus) to produce design artifacts • Use of design tools such as ERWIN, background in logical and physical database design ? Shell scripting experience desirable in languages such as PERL, Unix shell, Windows shell and powershell ? Senior to Expert level knowledge in understanding SQL plan and manually tune it. ? Experience in using OEM to detect performance problems ? Ability to use RMAN to refresh development database from production database. ? Experience in re-building large partitioned tables and indexes. *Desired skills:* ? Oracle 10g or higher certification ? Prior hands-on database experience with a large scale Siebel CRM and/or OBIEE environments. ? Background in working with Oracle Technical support process *Strong Plus:* ?
