REQUIRED SKILLS
- ASP.NET 4.0 Web Development (preferably MVC framework)
- SQL Server and relational database knowledge
- Unit testing with mocking framework
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with an Agile development process like Scrum
- ORM tools such as LLBLGen Pro, NHibernate, etc.
- HTML/CSS
- _javascript_/JQuery
- Web services
- Experience with responsive web design techniques
- Experience working directly with end users to write functional specs, use cases, and/or user stories
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
- Work as a lead developer on a small Agile Scrum team to help build and launch our new global public-facing website.
- Participate in all facets of application requirements gathering, design, development, and testing.
- Develops, unit tests, and code reviews development tasks
- Designs loosely-coupled, reusable, and testable code structures
- Participates in user story workshops to gather requirements with team
- Designs and optimizes databases to support web applications
PROJECT DETAILS
- The Company is rebuilding five disparate public facing websites and consolidating into a single, global website with support for 30 languages worldwide.
- The website is being built upon the ASP.NET 4.0 MVC frameworks and heavily utilizes JQuery and AJAX techniques to provide a rich user experience.
- There are numerous complex challenges which the team must address regarding in-site search, content management integration, automated translation and publishing processes, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) considerations, etc.
- A strong ASP.NET 4.0 C# development skillet is paramount, with a secondary focus on databases and front end web development like JQuery and CSS.
- The developer will be integrated as a member of the team working closely with 3 other developers and the product owner/web designer.
- The development contract will most likely be for 6 to 8 months.
