Must have 8+ years of Java development experience and have previous Technical Lead experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for application enhancements and projects to include estimating work effort, assisting management in providing project timelines and relevant technical details, serving as a mentor to junior or less experienced team members, and performing software design and development tasks.
- Enforce software quality measures through code and design reviews, unit testing, and minimization of manual processes as well as supporting QA resources during testing phases.
- Emphasize security and compliance considerations throughout the software development cycle.
- Perform application support functions to include software installations, software upgrades, and resolving production support issues according to published SLAs while providing functional guidance and direction to client base.
- Work with other enterprise IT support teams to facilitate support initiatives outside typical scope of responsibility.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to IT and the enterprise with regard to application functionality and how future and current requirements may impact the enterprise and can be exploited for the benefit of the company, while emphasizing security and compliance considerations.
- Perform operational, health, and performance monitoring making proactive recommendations for improvement of current application software or infrastructure in support of operational efficiencies.
- Experience developing on Websphere Application Server Platforms
- Experience developing applications for services integration
- Java/J2EE Development - Experience in writing services/integration layer using Hibernate/EJB3.0
- Oracle PL/SQL - Experience in writing complex PL/SQL Packages in Oracle. (ideal)
- Web Services / XML
- WebSphere (7.0.0.17) / RAD (7.5.5)
