Identify, define and analyze complex problems and provide solutions requiring a high level of ingenuity and innovativenes. - Ensure cross-functional applications/systems/platforms of responsibility are recoverable in the event of a disaster, emergency or testing sequence. - Maintain DR consistency within IT and ensure adherence to corporate DR plans. - Consult and advise Sr. management and/or the customer on technical aspects of major programs to meet long-term goals. - Analyze and diagnose business processes for divisional business units and propose projects. May provide project estimates, and work plans. - Active member of projects estimating committee for assigned areas of responsibility. May perform as project lead on advanced specialized projects. - Conceive and design new techniques to meet major IT/Divisional and corporate goals and objectives - Provide technical direction & design review to all levels of designers/developers as well as senior management. * Research and evaluate new technologies coming to market and their potential application to IT strategies and business plans. *QUALIFICATIONS: * -8+ year's in a multiple operating system hardware and/or application platform. -Evaluating, designing and supporting complex and high performance network systems -Designing and implementing global data center networks -Designing and implementing global wide area networks to include corporate and internet connectivity -Developing network roadmaps and strategy - High performance, high volume network technologies that meet 7x24 100% availability objectives. -Mentoring and developing peers and teams on network technology and techniques. -Leading complex network technology evaluation, design and implementation projects -Demonstrated knowledge of converged voice, data and storage networks. -Cisco IOS, JUNOS, Infiniband, loadbalancers, IDS/IPS on multiple vendor platforms. -Proficient in DWDM, VoIP, 10G, 100G, SONET, Frame Relay, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, TCP, multicast and other network technologies and protocols. -Networks in virtualized environment. -Supporting and troubleshooting problems in complex network environments.
