Job Description The DIRECTV Broadcast Systems Engineering group is seeking an exceptional and motivated Systems Architect to support multiple ongoing and future projects. This position requires strong business system analysis skills, capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs, ability to serve as a subject matter expert during development, test and deployment activities, and understanding the long-term technology and design goals. Responsibilities: • Partner with business stakeholders to review and understand business requirements. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural design • Document and review technical specifications with cross-functional teams • Facilitate and lead design review sessions and technical discussions • Support the project through entire development lifecycle from initial kick-off to production deployment • Participate in commercial-off-the-shelf product evaluation and selection • Be a subject matter expert in the assigned functional domain • Research emerging trends and technologies • Proactively identify and suggest architectural improvements in as-is Systems Qualifications • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science), Master's degree preferred • 5+ years relevant experience as a senior Java developer in a fast paced environment required • Experience in developing scalable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based web services • Strong Experience with Oracle DB • Experience in Business Systems Analysis, Requirements Elaboration and high-level architectural designs and detailed designs • Experience with distributed media applications, video-on-demand and broadcast systems • Experience with Video CDN, multi-CDN networks • Understanding of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development is required • Leadership qualities, including ability to facilitate technical discussions with diverse and cross-functional groups, time management, organizational and negotiation skills • Self-motivated with the ability to make solid technical / business decisions with minimal managerial direction. • Experience in web services integration with platforms like web, mobile (smart phones, tablets), Settop box is a plus Thanks and Regards Pradeep Pandey IT Recruiter Phone: 609-897-9670 x 4003 Email: [email protected] Fax: 609-228-5522 Address: 38 Washington Road, Princeton Jn, NJ 08550 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "International SAP Projects" group.
