Job Title: *Network Engineer *
Location: Hightstown, NJ

This position is on a senior level or architect level, someone who has
experience in the design and implementation of data centers.

Responsible for the development and maintenance of network communications.
Uses knowledge of LAN/MAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal
and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate
problems and make improvements. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 8
years of experience in the field or in a related area. This role must be
well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of
multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and
network management systems.
• Possesses one or more industry standard certifications including CCNA,
CCNP, CCIE, etc.
• ITIL v3 studies expected.
Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected. Must be familiar with managed services
concepts within an outsourcing environment. Typically reports to a manager.

Engineer/architects will need to take the lead on the following activities
• Discovery, collection, and validation of needed separation link, eDMZ
Firewall, parnernet, and Load Balancer rules as well as DNS changes
• LAN (Cisco Nexus 5K & 2K) troubleshooting and corrections on system
start-up
• Routing (Server static routes, Nexus 7K, ASA firewalls, Checkpoint
firewalls) troubleshooting from server to server through the network and
separation link firewalls
• Separation link (Checkpoint) firewall rules troubleshooting and
correction on application startup, developer connectivity, and end user
connectivity testing
• eDMZ firewall (Cisco ASA) rules troubleshooting and correction with
application testing
• Partnernet firewall (Cisco ASA) rules troubleshooting and correction with
development teams and application testing
• Local and global load balancer (F5 BIG-IP) rules troubleshooting and
correction with application testing
• DNS (Infoblox) troubleshooting and correction during all phases
