*Position:: Linux Desktop Developer * *Location:: Cumberland, RI* *Duration:: 1+ year* *Qualifications for the Linux Desktop Developer :-* • Has built and customized Linux based desktop environments systems using Ubuntu 12 / Ubuntu 14 • Has experience configuring/customizing window managers including: Ø Unity Ø XFCE Ø LXDE Ø Mint Ø OpenBox Ø Other desktop / window managers Ø Experience creating a Linux based ‘Kiosk’ Ø Has built and customized Linux based desktop environments systems other Linux OSs Ø Debian Ø SLES/OpenSuSE Ø RHEL/Fedora • Has build and customized small Linux and Linux based Thin-Client systems Ø SLAX Ø ArchLinux Ø Knows how to lock preferences Ø Knows how to make changes to the Firefox UI Ø Knows how to Configure CUPS for remote printing as server and client Ø Can configure tcpwrappers Ø Can configure firewall/iptables Limit incoming access for specific protocols from specific hosts/networks Limit outbound access NAT rules o Understands networking from a Linux perspective.
