Location: NYC – Wall Street * Job Description*: *QlikView Senior Developer* *Requirements Job Description: -* This is a Senior Developer (contractor) role in our Client's Global Investments Division's IT group, functioning as QlikView technical specialist in our new BI/MIS platform build out. The person will primarily work on frontend User Interface and User Experience in-depth R&D on Qlik technology, with the opportunity to participate in backend Data Warehouse and overall architecture work. 3+ years of solid Qlik R&D experience in an enterprise environment is required. Experience in Qlik Extensions development with JavaScript and CSS style sheet is a must. The person will be working in our NYC office. Technical Skills: 3+ years of QlikView development experience with team collaboration, practical knowledge of UI/UX design and development on QlikView. Hands-on experience in Qlik Extensions development for reusable customized charts is a must. Experience in integrating QVW with 3rd party objects or libraries to achieve more sophisticated UI/UX and business use cases, is a plus. Knowledge of relational databases especially Microsoft SQL server. Familiar with MS Windows environment (e.g. Windows 7 Desktop and MS Visual Studio, Windows Server 2008R2 or later version) Working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, XML and Web Services. Knowledge of revision control and software lifecycle methodology, and tools (e.g. SVN and/or Microsoft TFS). Prior experience on other BI/MIS platforms (e.g. SAP BusinessObjects) is a plus. Non-Technical Skills: General knowledge of financial services businesses, especially in buy side Investment Management. Knowledge of financial products in Fixed Income and Credit areas is a plus. Good verbal/written communication skills. Good analytical skill and technical research capability. Good work ethics and the ability to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
