Position: User Interface Designer / Graphic Artist

*Job Summary*
This is a great consulting opportunity for a creative individual with an
experience working as a Graphic Artist and User Interface/Experience
Designer.
The candidate must have the ability to interact effectively with project
managers and business users, and the passion for creating high quality
designs and products.
As a member of the Global Data Solutions (GDS) Team, they will have the
opportunity to work and collaborate with other very bright individuals
working on new and exciting projects.
They will work in a supportive environment that encourages every team
member to share their ideas, thoughts and cultivate their creative
abilities.
This is a highly visible position requiring interaction will all levels of
management and supporting both the business and technology groups.

*Required Skills:*
The candidate must have strong communication, presentation and
interpersonal skills.
Candidate must be professional, energetic and self-motivated with a
well-defined work ethic.
They must be able to function independently throughout the lifecycle of a
project and also a strong "A” team player and flexible to adapt as the
projects evolve.
Candidates must be prepared to present their existing portfolio,
illustrations and websites.

*Technical skills:*
•Excellent communication skills are a must
•Extensive knowledge of usability, methodologies/tools including user
profiles, user scenarios, navigation flow charts, organizational models,
storyboards, wireframes, mockups, feature lists, functional requirements
and user interface specifications
•In-depth knowledge of user experience disciplines : usability, user
centric design processes and design driven data analysis
•Experience with building dashboards or data visualizations (using tools
like QlikView) is a big plus
•Background in graphic design or art for the web
•Design or create graphics that best fits given project, such as
dashboards, displays, icons, borders, water marks, navigation, images etc.
•Expert in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent
•Knowledgeable in color theory and ability to apply color recommendations
based on project requirements
•Extensive experience creating or improving MS Power Point presentations
•Proficiency in working with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Visio is a plus
•Must be detail-oriented with abilities to multi-task and to effectively
handle changing requirements and priorities
•Experience in solution development using SDLC in waterfall and initiative
modes
•Ability to work independently with limited supervision or as part of a
team

*Responsibilities:*
•Liaison between business users and technical staff throughout project
lifecycle
•Develop detailed functional requirements and UI/UX design documents for
web based and reporting solutions
•Participate in change management processes and ensuring changes are
properly tested and migrated to production
•Support User Acceptance Testing
•Occasional overtime may be required in order to meet deadlines
•Responsible, in conjunction with Project Manager and Business Analyst, for
the overall project deliverable

*Education:*
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years progressive
experience as a Graphic Artist.
Additional training or advanced degree in interface design, information
design, interaction design, graphical art or illustrations preferred
