*Position:: Cloud Automation Engineer – Cisco IAC/ VMware VCAC*

*Location:: Los Angeles, CA*

*Duration:: 1+ year*



*POSITION PURPOSE :-*



Manage the Private Cloud Operations, Cloud Automation and workflow, VMware
vSphere, vCenter, Flexpod SME at multi location and maintain the
best-in-class operational infrastructure in with a focus on 100%
availability which is critical to the Customer Private cloud. Provide
Leadership, Domain knowledge & expertise to team members both at on-site &
off shore. Ensure effective Service Delivery and develop/maintain
processes, policy and procedure to meet or exceed Service Levels in a
complex and heterogeneous platform environment. Deliver value-add services
and drive the Customer business objectives by building a high-performing
and client focused team.



*RESPONSIBILITIES :-*



·         Responsible for a large virtual infrastructure running VMWare
VSphere and migrating to private cloud managed using vCloud director.

·         Good knowledge of private cloud computing environment using
Virtual Center Operations Manager(VCOPS)

·         Responsible for building, orchestrating and managing private
cloud using vcloud director/vcops.

·         Experience with Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud (CIAC)
and/or VCAC

·         Experience with vSphere problem determination and root cause
analysis investigation

·         Experience automating tasks with scripting and programing
languages such as PowerShell in a private cloud environment.

·         Ability to design robust processes for complex problems

·         Ability to recognize relationships and interdependencies between
systems and processes

·         Ability to learn new technologies

·         Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, AIX, SUN, Windows)

·         VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) is a plus

·         Intermediate SQL skills (Oracle, DB2, MYSQL or MS SQL) is a plus

·         Knowledge of NetApp Storage, On Command Insight.

·         Knowledge of Flexpod integrated solution.

·         Advanced knowledge of Windows infrastructure architecture and
concepts.

·         Advanced knowledge data center management and process.

·         Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies.

·         Intermediate knowledge of systems and application architectures.

·         Excellent understanding of full life cycle development.

·         Managing day to day support including systems monitoring &
administration, backup/ recovery, tape management, facilities management
and off-hours On Call support.

·         Ability to communicate either written or oral to a wide variety
of audiences

·         Ability to think logically and solve problems

·         Must be able to work in a team environment as well as contribute
individually

·         Ensure Service Levels are met for all Services and achieve high
availability

·         Develop and implement the Data Center standard Operating
procedures

·         Serve as a liaison with Application, Network, Mail Messaging,
Management and Facilities Group at the Service Delivery & Customer
Organization

·         Five to Six years Vmware Administration experience with a solid
understanding of the concepts and services

·         Notify and co-ordinate relevant stake holders and projects
directly affecting end users

·         Assist in implementing ITIL Service Methodologies

·         Lead the Data Center Projects which supports key business
initiatives from conception through enterprise-wide deployment and provide
the necessary technical inputs; Project completion within the scheduled
time & budget is essential

·         Provide hands-on training to the team members to promote the
development of technical problem diagnosis and troubleshooting skills

·         Drive continuous high performance levels of the operations
through process improvements & automation

·         Develop status and metric performance reports –
daily/weekly/monthly

·         Perform Root Cause Analysis and recommend improvements to
avoid/minimize impact of future occurrence

·         Assess adherence to process and compliances and implement plan to
increase

·         Review Data Center performance metrics against the industry best
practices

·         Manage Data Center standards and related change management
activities

·         Maintain Data Center rack profiles and diagrams of all the
infrastructure

·         Promote a collaborative team environment to foster innovation &
creativity

·         Monitor and manage Data Center risks

·         Deliver excellence in Customer Service through situational
analysis and timely resolution of problems/escalation

·         Consistent managing of Changes with Change Management procedures

·         Provide the DR/BCP support

·         Manage the assets and inventory through the asset life cycle



*REQUIREMENTS :-*



·         Other technical certifications and Data Center Operations
Certifications is an added advantage

·         Min of 10+ years of experience in the IT field

·         5+ years of experience in VMware vSphere Administrator



*JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY :-*



·         Excellent Communication & Presentation skills

·         Ability to cover 24x7 Management escalations for service calls

·         Knowledge/Certification of ITIL foundation would be advantage

·         Must be able to effectively interface with all levels of
Management

·         Strong Customer focus and positive attitude

·         Works with a sense of urgency

·         Very good initiative and follow through

·         Ability to work as a team member and work with diversified groups

·         Organized and flexible

·         Open to new ideas and ways of thinking

·         Solution oriented and able to quickly provide alternatives

·         Experience in technical operations and support for application,
