*Location:- Dallas TX*



*Job Purpose*

The BI Administrator is responsible for the day to day administration of
the OBIEE/OBIA environments. Main tasks will be support of all Out of Box
prebuilt and Custom reports, mappings, ETL, metadata management, DAC,
implementation


*Key-result areas*

ü  Subject matter expert for OBIEE 11G. Expertise in Oracle BI Server,
Oracle BI Answers, BI Interactive Dashboards and Oracle BI Publisher.

ü  Implementation of various Analytical modules on top of multiple data
sources.

ü  Strong Linux knowledge

ü  Monitoring the overall BI server usage and capturing the usage spikes to
improve the performance.

ü  Provide the Dashboard access to the Users through the EBS and setting up
the security levels.

ü  Migration of catalog items between Development, Qual and Production
server.

ü  To ensure all scheduled jobs are setup and executed successfully.

ü  To ensure all data validation jobs are working properly and the data
warehouse is accurate.

ü  Resolving and supporting performance issues with the Data Warehouse and
the reports.

ü  Ensuring access controls are in place and user account management.

ü  Communicating when supported versions will expire and plan for upgrades
with management and customers. Analyse and plan the BI software upgrades
and patches as part from the Admin team.

ü  Developing migration project plan and estimates, managing requirements,
and providing progress reports for all OBIEE migration projects as a part
of the Admin team.

ü  Server space management for various log files, cache files, back up
files etc.

ü  Repository merging through the Command Line and Patch method also
migration of the RPD's from one environment to another.

ü  Managing and customizing the ETL Informatica/DAC loads, RPD and Web
Catalog metadata.

ü  Developed Mappings using corresponding Source, Targets and
Transformations like Source Qualifier, Sequence Generator, Filter, Router,
Joiner, Lookup, Expression, Update Strategy, and Aggregator.

ü  Responsible for the development of DAC tasks design and development
which will call the Informatica workflows and updates the Image tables

ü  Involved in Performance Tuning of reports by identifying the indexes
required on the backend tables and also from the data available in the
Cache.

ü  Monitor, maintain, and promote data quality. Proactively identify,
troubleshoot, resolve and document data quality and integrity issues on the
support Admin team.

ü  Complete knowledge on seem less integration of OBIEE  on top of multiple
data sources

ü  Worked on issues like crash, Server crashed, FR reports are not working
etc.,

ü  Involved in cache management, performance tuning, data and object
security.

ü  Involved in the cut-over activities for RPD and Web-Catalog migration.

ü  Optimized performance using Indexes, Aggregate tables and materialized
views.

Mandatory Requirements:

*Educational Background:*

Bachelor’s Degree in Computers and Electronics (Computer Architecture and
Programming Languages) or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence of 6 Years of
overall OBIEE experience.

*Knowledge:*

·         5+ years of experience in providing solutions with complex
OBIEE/ETL/DAC applications.

·         Expert Knowledge: PL/SQL and/or SQL / SQL optimization.

·         Knowledge of OBIEE Cache management and Cache optimization.

·         Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office: Excel, Word,
PowerPoint.

·         Smart View, SQL*Loader, Winscp, Putty, Oracle SQL Developer and
Toad.

·         Data bases: Oracle 11g/10g/9i, MS SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, MS
Access, Flat Files.

·         Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux and Windows.

·         Excellent understanding of the difference between internal and
external reporting requirements supported by the consolidation system along
with management vs. legal reporting requirements supported by the worldwide
planning system.

required for this position
