*Position Title: Sr Database Administrator* Start Date:ASAP Duration: 6 months plus. Location: Denvor, CO *Description of Work*: Provide database administration services including, but not limited to monitoring, backup and recovery, network administration, documentation, and performance tuning of production databases. A great deal of the work will also involve the assistance in moving many databases from current technology, into “The Cloud”, which is a private (or public) cloud structure maintained by CenturyLink. This may include but not be limited to partnering with development teams, architecture teams, and business representatives to ensure successful migrations to the cloud, with minimal impacts to the business, while adhering to CenturyLink technical standards and practices. May be involved in upgrading of databases to more current platform. Respond to significant events/faults to ensure that production continues to operate smoothy. Maintaining a responsive database production environment that is centered around a customer-focused approach. *Qualifications*: First preference will be given to those that have the strongest DBA skillsets in both the Oracle and SQL Server database platforms. (5 Years or more) Perform hands-on work in a VMware-centered cloud environment in a production role.
