Position: Project Manager (Finance or Investment Experience) Location: El Segundo, CA Duration: Long Term Interview: Skype Title: Sr Project Manager Requirements: • Need strong Project managers understanding our business and able to deliver IT projects through the full SDLC. • Wealth Management experience is a plus. • Key understanding of the business is critical, so experience with another Broker Dealer (e.g. LPL) or Investment firm is a plus. • Experience working on strategic or integration projects (across multiple firms/business units, working with virtual teams in multiple locations) • Must have experience with building and managing project forecasts and budgets. • Need to know how to build a project resource plan – i.e. figure out what resources they need to get the job done and then work with the appropriate managers to secure the resources. • Creating project plan (from scratch) in MS Project and then managing to that plan – will need to work with IT Dev Managers, QA Manager, Business etc… to get milestone dates to build off. • Key administrative items e.g. running weekly core team and other project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, completing weekly project status report, running bi-weekly Steering Team meetings (creating presentations in PP) •Working with an Exec Sponsor (one of our firm Execs, Presidents or C Suite) and Business Owners. • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience working on projects of varying in team size (medium to large) and budgets. • Our methodology is primarily waterfall, however we do have some projects that are run Agile SCRUM so at least a basic understand of iterative waterfall would be helpful. • Flexibility and willingness to work within an organization that is going thru change and making decisions as we go.
