*Role*:Build & Release for Guidewire *Location*:Hartford, CT *Requisition Description:* • Needs to be familiar with the Guidewire application architecture (Trainable skill) • Administer automated test integration with the build tool Jenkins. (This will allow for automated sanity testing to accompany all builds. We’re about to start doing this for ClaimCenter.) • The RDC has the capability to automatically monitor applications. (Their tool has the ability to run scripts against any environment including production. If the script fails or exceeds a threshold it will send an email notification. We do this in ClaimCenter already for application being up and we’re starting to explore doing it for the document integration.) • Thinking ahead to production, you may want to involve this resource with ensuring that the production move tickets (I3S, TeamTrack) are setup and ready to go, but this is a trainable duty • Nice to have: Familiarity with servers, load balancers, database architecture • Support and enhance build and deployment tools through automation using a combination of Jenkins and scripting. • Architects and implements the automation of code migration from development, testing, staging through to production Source Code Control Administration (TFS) • Maintains and administes the source code repositories • Perform merges (some may be automated) between branches • Ensures functional and technical integrity of application code after merges. · · · Works with third party integration vendors/ external interfaces, development team and the IT group to resolve integration endpoints (web services/ batch processes / database / file / messaging) in the development, test, stage, UAT and production environments · Configures and prepares production releases, prepares deployment and rollback instructions, co-ordinates the refresh / reset capabilites of the database instances with the QA / Development team for each release. · Supports ongoing project needs in build construction, promotion and verification with focus to implement build and release automation · In addition to the typical skill sets, the following would be helpful · Ability to understand complex existing build scripts.
