· Strong background on OS and DBMS admin
· Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem installation, configuration, and
provisioning
· Experience on monitoring, performance turning, SLA, scaling, security,
etc. in Big Data systems
· Competent on query tuning, UDF, data model, data import/export,
scripting, job scheduling
· Capability of developing solutions in HQL, Pig, HBase, Storm, MR, Sqoop,
Flume, Oozie, etc.
· Knowledge of data engineering, SDLC, multi-threading and concurrency
· Maintaining security and data privacy
· Ability of troubleshooting of production issues and app support
