Their primary role is in asset and security operations which means that they are responsible for the creation and maintenance of all new and existing asset and security attributes such as ticker symbol, price, currency etc for each security in the system. *Key words to look for: Asset Control (which is a tool), asset setup, asset maintenance, security operations, security master etc.* *Projects: The Global reference Data Project was designed to ensure smooth transitioning between Asset Control Reference Data System to custom designed ESM system for storing and managing Financial Reference Data. *The product De-Dupe team was in charge of efficiently managing the swift update of the products in Barclays portfolio from the Asset Control System to new ESM (Enterprise Security Master) System without affecting the regular operations and according to consumer requirements. The project primarily dealt with proper documentation of the existing products and attributes in AC and identifying the consumer must haves. The must have attributes were decided based on extensive consumer surveys and data analysis and was later documented. *Responsibilities:* · *Maintained documentation for existing Asset Control System functionalities after detailed discussions with more than 140 Barclay’s downstream consumers including wealth management, mutual funds and trading divisions*. · Assisted Project Manager in data retrieval process improvement for consumer derivative systems using Rummler Brache methodology. · Worked closely with PMO on training junior analysts in the business flow process and AC to ESM data mapping. · Created and maintained status dashboards for third party (TCS Inc.) data remediation project which included stake holders from business, management, third party vendors and consultants. · Achieved on-time publishing of mapping matrices working closely with IT department and TCS data remediation team prioritizing various projects for year-end closing. · Created Attribute Mapping Matrices documenting Barclays product groups which included more than 3800 attributes that required signoffs from 140 downstream consumer systems and groups. · *Created complex Enum table value mapping for 65 Enums on the must have list from Asset Control (AC) to ESM matching values based on input from US and Singapore Core teams.* · Perform data modeling, periodic report validation and data analysis by writing SQL queries using YETI and MYSQL. · *Worked extensively with Bloomberg data feeds and tech teams in sorting out data discrepancies within Bloomberg feed and ESM system database.* · *Worked with third party vendors Moody’s, S&P, Thomson Reuter’s and Bloomberg extensively* · Created test plans for early consumer adopters based on IT FSD documentation and Core team requirements.
