Here are some qualities that are absolute necessities for this role: 1. *HTML/CSS Skills* Responsive skill is a must. Client no longer do any work that *isn’t* responsive. And, currently, client do not use frameworks. So, hand-coded responsive HTML/CSS is a skill they will need have. 2. *Visual Skills* Someone who can handle doing HTML and CSS for jobs that don’t come with a visual reference. Meaning, if the job has no attached comp, the individual needs to have the skill to provide HTML/CSS that is visually appealing and on-brand, *without* a comp. 3. *Ability to provide HTML/CSS that looks like the comp.* Client has trouble, even when providing a comp, that the HTML/CSS does not match.
