Business Analyst will be taking business requirements, acting as an
intermediary between two organizations. The BA will need to manage the
development process, ensure that deadlines are met, including all financial
budgets and project timelines. My client wants someone with an analytical
mindset and an engaging personality, with excellent interpersonal skills.
Due to the coordination/liaison nature of the position, an attention to
detail nature is critical.
In terms of soft skills, our client requires someone who can communicate
confidently, be adaptable in dealing with multiple people/positions,
organized, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed.
The Business Analyst (BA) is an advocate for business management within
ADS, liaising, facilitating and communicating key business and program
objectives. The BA possesses subject matter expertise in both business and
technology, and is responsible for understanding and documenting the
business requirements, ensuring that projects are delivered effectively,
aligning with technology and IT strategy and capability, and using best
practices as defined in the Project Management Process.
More specifically, the Business Analyst is responsible for negotiating and
planning long-term IT development roadmaps supporting key business and
program initiatives, and for managing the projects and project portfolio
for the applications and systems that enable the business. Through each of
these key responsibilities, the BA will build and manage trusting
relationships with Business Owners at both the strategic and operational
level, and may serve in a key role in the Program Management Office (PMO).
* Qualifications:*
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Science or related
fields; advanced degree is preferred
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated track record
of superior customer service
Experience in a large software development environment
Experience performing requirements and/or process analysis on
highly complex software projects
Extensive understanding of project management disciplines and
software development life cycle
Extensive experience in Use Case analysis and UML modeling
Experience in business relationship management or business
process management is desirable
Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and
collaborative skills
Exceptional leadership skills, including advanced negotiation
and conflict resolution capabilities
