PrimeFinance IT developer Job Purpose: This role is for PrimeFinance IT
developer in New York. PrimeFinance IT is a global organization with about
80 business analyst / developers spread across New York, London, Hong Kong,
Singapore and Mumbai. PrimeFinance IT is a global team responsible for
analyzing requirements from PrimeFinance Traders and Trade Capture teams
and help build out IT solutions with specific focus on Equity Swaps
Trading, Index and ETF trading, Risk and Control reporting. This team is
also responsible for helping in redesigning the DMA platform , scaling up
the capacity of the Swap Valuation engine and enhancing the real time risk
and reporting systems in addition to supporting the traders and hedge funds

Developer Job Duties:
• Work closely with traders, business analysts and Front office controls

SUMMARY:
Experienced technical architect to work on various projects within the Risk
& Finance IT Technical Book of Work programme, aimed at improving
stability, efficiency, capacity and scalability of critical data collation
and reporting systems.

This position provides system support for UNIX/Linux based software by
implementing, monitoring and maintaining systems and application software
running under UNIX/Linux. Act in a support capacity to ensure availability
of multiple Weblogic domains including machines, manage servers, node
managers, and JDBC Connection pools. The position also works with
development and Infrastructure support teams to provide optimum system
performance and availability. This involves problem determination and
implementation of changes to hardware and/or software (ex: configuration).
This position provides an intermediate level to high level of support.
Tasks are not standardized and require independent thought and problem

Capacity Management consists of processes to ensure that front to back IT
systems are better equipped to handle volatile market volumes. Given the
client, regulatory and internal audit focus on systems capacity, IB wide
Global Capacity Management is now a formal mandate and a dedicated program
has been launched to formalize and institutionalize common approach to
capacity management. This group would be responsible for delivering
proactive Capacity Management capability across all aspects of IT
Infrastructure to ensure that the capacity of IT services meets the
evolving demands of the business in a cost-effective and timely manner

In this role, the potential candidate will help the Service Continuity and
Capacity Teams in a new function, Capacity Analyst and Operator.
In this function, the candidate will be monitoring, analyzing, risk
mitigating and escalating Resiliency and Capacity and Performance Alerts
("Insights") affecting Application Infrastructure estate, via the
Operational Risk Engine. Specifically:

• Understand key capacity and performance metrics for each application
• Understand Infrastructure components such as Storage, Databases, Servers,
Datacenter and Virtual Infrastructure
• Examine the Insights generated by the rules engine and determine if a
problem ticket should be raised within the ticketing system. The Rules
Engine provides automation & an interface to facilitate the decision
