Below is the Complete Requirement *Title Pl/SQL Developer W/Golden Gate* *Location Washington, DC* *Duration Long Term* Description: The candidate will be a senior member of a team that will direct more junior-level staff and perform some or all tasks associated with the full system development life cycle, as assigned by the project manager, including: * Analysis * Design * Programming * Unit, Integration and Regression Testing * Implementation * Troubleshooting The candidate will be responsible for completion of assigned duties and report to the Project Manager. The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions: * Liaise with Headquarters staff located in Washington, DC, specifically the Project Manager and Business Analyst. * Use communication skills in order to work with end users in analyzing their requirements. * Use analytical skills to learn our users’ business processes, document the data and process models and troubleshoot and maintain existing applications. * Design systems that meet user requirements. * Write efficient, error free programs that are easily maintainable by other programmers and conform to Bank coding standards. * Develop systems in a team environment and contribute to overall efficiency by writing reusable code, and reusing code written by others, where appropriate. * Provide detailed project, program and system documentation and specifications that are understandable by other technical people. * Write applications that are easy to support and maintain and to provide testing routines (including regression testing), error handling and error logging as part of the applications delivered. * Use collaborative skills to work with database administrators, system managers and external application mangers in order to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of assigned applications. * Use analytical skills to troubleshoot and maintain applications as needed. * Collaborate with other technical people in a multicultural environment. * English is the standard language used at the World Bank headquarters. All user, functional, technical and system documentation is written in English. Proficiency in the English language is a must. *Skill Set Requirements: * * Proficiency in Oracle tools and technologies - *Oracle 10g, Oracle Forms, SQL and PL/SQL, PL/SQL Standard Packages* * Proficiency in Oracle reporting tools – *Crystal Reports and Business Objects Enterprise server*. * Ability to interact with clients and provide quality production support. * Oracle Security, specifically as it pertains to web-based applications * Familiarity with financial accounting systems * Proven conceptual, analytical and judgmental skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills * Proven and demonstrated experience in full system development life cycle – Analysis, Design, Programming, Testing, Implementation , and Maintenance *Selection Criteria: * * Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in building financial systems using current technologies. * *Sound understanding of, and implementation experience with financial data warehouses and fixed income performance measurement systems* * Experience and knowledge of systems design, development and maintenance of complex financial information systems. * Ability and willingness to propose creative and optimal solutions. * Additional Information: * This position requires flexibility, creativity and initiative.
