*Responsibilities Duties:*
- Design and develop Enterprise data visualizations to help drive BI
strategy which aligns with Company goals.
- Support BI penetration into the Business’ processes, and help the
Enterprise with strategic, tactical, and operational decision making
through the use of BI toolsets;
- Support all Enterprise analytical BI in terms of:
- data availability, accuracy and definitions;
- system functionality, instructions and proper usage;
- ad hoc/customized reporting of data;
- Connect and map complex datasets to Enterprise needs, delivering data
exploration and visualization experiences that showcase data in an
actionable format;
- Create, maintain and enhance Data Visualization components (metadata,
reports, metrics, and dashboards).
- Participate in data modeling, business process analysis and
development of reporting functional and technical specifications.
- Build strong credibility to become a trusted and sought-after partner
for business teams seeking guidance on how to use our analytics tools.
- Develop and curate best practices and procedures for Data
Visualization tools and architecture.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance and
Data Mining Leads to apply standards and evolve process to ensure solutions
abide by best practice principles.
- Demonstrate ability to plan and execute complex initiatives
- Manage all data visualization architecture and development designs
ensuring maximum flexibility for future enhancements
- Maintain extensive knowledge of Business operations and upstream /
downstream applications
- Charged with managing multiple projects across all functions of the
business.
- As Tableau Developer responsible for the timely completion of Tableau
and Alteryx development and programming to satisfy business stakeholder
reporting needs.
- Works with Tableau Sr. Manager on development; design and delivery of
all front end visualizations.
- Work with database developers to determine the most suitable data to
support business requirements.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on
workload and direction from management.
*Qualifications:*
*Technical/Functional Competencies*
- Competencies in Oracle (or other RDBMS), ANSI SQL, SQL, PL/SQL (or
other level 3 procedural languages) and UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with data architecture and data analysis skill sets
- *5 or more years of experience with industry BI/Reporting/Programming
toolsets including Tableau, OBIEE, Spotfire, MicroStrategy, Cognos, SAS,
SSPS, Informatica, Oracle, Netezza, Alteryx*.
- Competencies leveraging data visualization tools for senior management
and enterprise data visualization.
- Competencies with ETL tools such as Informatica or Data Stage a plus.
- Competencies with Data Warehouse Appliance hardware and software
(Neteeza, Exadata), including coding, optimization and analysis
- Strong understanding of OLAP business intelligence applications.
- Competencies in GIS Mapping software
- Competencies in database architectures such as relative, star and
snowflake schemas.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, including
mapping of business need or issue to development of application
requirements or procedural initiatives.
- Strong understanding of reporting and database environments,
processes, and associated applications.
- Well-developed knowledge of operational systems, processes and
budgeting/forecasting concepts and activities.
- Proven ability to ensure effective forms of documentation essential
for support of overall technical and user needs.
- Knowledge of TQM or similar Business Process Improvement methods.
- Familiarity with PMI standards and practices
*Key Experiences/Achievements*
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science,
Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is
required; a Master’s degree (or equivalent) is a plus
- 5 + Years’ experience with Tableau and other Industry
BI/Reporting/Programming toolsets and knowledge and hands-on experience in
rolling out to an enterprise organization.
- Proven ability to independently champion business intelligence
principles with business owners, application owners, data analysts and DBAs.
