*Task:*



·  Work closely with Design (Studio), Infotainment, Marketing and Suppliers
to develop & thus ready human interface

·  concepts for implementation with focus on flexible platform enabling
technologies.

·  Work closely with interior and UX/UI designers to specify and develop a
seamless system GUI.

·  Participate in brainstorm sessions regularly submitting creative
concepts for development and/or patent consideration.

·  Conduct in-depth engineering trade-off and cost-benefit studies and
present to management.

Attend professional conferences and symposiums to keep abreast of latest

automotive technological developments emerging from academia, suppliers and
competitors.



*Responsibility:*



·   Assess the needs of the Studio and Marketing as your customers and
deliver HMI centric solutions in support of the Brand.

·  Assess risk of suppliers and their technologies by evaluating cost,
timing, quality and intangibles against the value they deliver to the Brand.

·   Evaluate associated tasks, estimate costs and deliver on coherent
concise plans.

·   Identify problems, elevate concerns, recommend solutions & resolve
issues with minimal guidance.

·   Accept personal responsibility & accountability for program execution &
quality of work.

·   Communicate efficiently & effectively with internal & external entities
to find win-win solutions.

·   Work equally well within a team or individually as required.

*Required Qualification:*



*Knowledge Requirements:*

·         Knowledge of automotive vehicle HMI systems with an emphasis on
interiors (some exteriors),

·         including but not limited to GUI and infotainment and holistic
cockpit ergonomics

·         Knowledge of Development Processes, Global Safety Requirements,
Regulations & Zones (e.g. FMVSS, ECE/ECC,

·         head impact effects on interiors), Continuous Improvement Methods

*Experience / Education:*

·         Minimum 5 years in Automotive HMI / Human Factors.  Comparable
experience considered.

·         Bachelor's degree required, (master's/doctorate preferred) with a
concentration or

·         extensive work in human factors, industrial engineering,
cognitive engineering, experimental psychology, and/or human-computer
interaction

·         Experience in Functional Safety Requirements

·         Basic understanding of Automotive Communication Protocols such as
CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MOST, FlexRay

·         Experience with Data Collection and Analysis such as CANoe

·         PC Skills (Excel and relevant technical software).

Ability to travel nationally & internationally
