*Position:- Sr. Embedded /Firmware Architect * *Location:- Aurora/IL* *Duration:-6+months/contract* *Interview Mode:- Phone/F2F* *JOB DESCRIPTION:-* *The primary role as a Software Architect will be to develop and support embedded software design and development for safety & security products. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle, from initial concept generation through to final delivery and support.* *ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * • System level design and architecture experience • Can break a complex problem including cloud, HW, FW and mobile app into a segmented architecture and interfaces • Extensive experience with ARM Cortex Processors Texas Instruments, &STMicroelectronics, MSP430, Microchip or comparable micro-controller experience • *RF programming experience in Bluetooth (TI, CSR, ST, Broadcom, etc.), ANT, Wi-Fi or comparable wireless experience* • *Experience with video IP cameras including video/audio codec and streaming protocols RTP, RTSP, RTCP* • *Strong knowledge of bus protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART and SDIO* *• Cloud experience with HTTP, JSON, REST interfaces* • *HomeKit or Google Weave experience* *•* Knowledge of and/or experience with networking protocols used in data communication systems, especially those unique to wireless communications, would be desirable. • Work with hardware teams on board bring-up, power management and hardware debug • Interface with manufacturing to support diagnostics and operations • Interface with various hardware and software vendors on complex system integration tasks to achieve efficient, cost-effective and delightful product solutions • *Strong C and C++ programming skills* • *Embedded system programming, including small-footprint and low-power systems* *• Experience with USB, Ethernet and other communications protocol* • Duties include design; implementation, integration and system testing of embedded/DSP firmware within wireless communication systems. • Interface with customers and other design engineers required throughout the product development cycle and follow on product support. • Opportunity to help develop wireless-specific applications in a rapid development environment. • Develop C/C++/Java/Android for wireless applications. Utilize best software design practices and analysis techniques. Assist in design and software architecture.
