Installing, upgrading and maintaining databases. Plans and executes database backup, archiving and recovery. Provides database tuning for performance and stability. Manages physical database design and implementation, database security implementation and monitoring. Uses ConocoPhillips change management processes to prevent production disruptions and outages. Partners with other ConocoPhillips IT organizations to ensure quality support and delivery to the end-user. Participates in an on-call rotation with other DBAs to provide 24X7 coverage. Role is Oracle DBA support for an Oracle Upgrade Project. Work with database owners to upgrade older unsupported Oracle instances to Oracle 11.2.0.4 or Oracle 12.1.0.2. Could also require building new Oracle instances on new servers and migrating data.
