If you are interested please share your updated resume. *Need Entertainment industry experience* Job Title:* Sr. Business Analyst* Location:* Culver City, CA* Duration:* 6+ Months* *F2F interview* *Job Description* The Sr. Business Analyst serves as a primary interface to the business users in the Television IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) team in understanding the requirements, business processes, and workflows of the clients. This role will perform functional requirements gathering, analysis, design, documentation, testing, defect tracking, and client management in support of application development enhancements/projects. The primary stakeholders supported in this role are in the Television Marketing business unit. The primary system supported in this role is the Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Business to Business (B2B) application that houses and distributes marketing materials throughout the studio and to its business clients for Titles produced and distributed by Sony Pictures. *Responsibilities* • Collect, review, analyze, and manage user and system requirements from business users by: o Analyzing/understanding business challenges o Mapping current business processes and workflows to the new system or service o Determining interface and data conversion requirements o Resolving any issues which may affect the business process • Establish and sustain strong on-going relationships with IT and business partners by working with the business & technical teams to clarify functional requirements for design specifications and testing. • Develop proposals, functional & data requirements, process flows, use cases, information needs, test scenarios, and obtain specification approvals • Manage the UAT process by performing smoke testing, defect tracking and resolution, communicating status, and obtaining business approvals on UAT for scheduled deployments • Assist in demand queue management including prioritization, capacity and build planning, scheduling, communications, etc • Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development and deployment of multi-team enhancement or projects • Ensure that delivered functionality/system matches the functionality specified and that business is satisfied with IT services and products. • Understand, manage, escalate, mitigate, and communicate user expectations, status, risks/issues to all relevant IT and Business team members at all levels • Ensure training needs are met by training users in the functionality developed • Manage a high degree of change in an extremely fast paced, complex, and demanding environment *Required Skills* • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills on complex processes/issues • High proficiency in defining, creating, and developing requirements, functional design specifications, process flows and diagraming, data models, business procedures, test scenarios/scripts, training materials • Mastery in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Visio Diagrams/Flows, Image Creation/Editing tools for producing design mockups • Expertise in interpersonal, relationship management, meeting facilitation, and negotiation skills • High competency in verbal, written, listening, and presentation communication skills including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results. • Strong organizational and time management skills *Required Experience* • Minimum 6-8 years of software development experience • Demonstrated success on complex enhancements/projects of all sizes throughout the entire life cycle • Experience in navigating and accommodating a high level of change for demanding clients and adapting accordingly • Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), SDLC (Software Delivery Lifecycle), and project management fundamentals • Good understanding of entertainment industry and the role that IT plays in the industry • Hands on Business Analysis experience and work product examples • Entertainment - Television, Marketing, Digital Asset Management, Product Licensing a plus!
