Position: Salesforce Developer Location: Riverside, Ca Client: University of California Duration: 6+ months (Need GC Or Citizen Only) The UCPath Center Salesforce Developer is responsible for the configuration, development, testing, and integration of the Center’s Salesforce Service Cloud environment which supports business operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT, the Salesforce Developer will work with the UCPath Center Salesforce IT team, UCOP IT Services, PMO resources, and other key stakeholders to understand the requirements, assist with the design, deploy native Salesforce Communities functionality, develop customizations, and integrate Salesforce with other systems such as Single Sign On, ETL jobs, web services and PeopleSoft, ServiceNow etc. The responsibilities of the Salesforce Developer include the following: · Configure and deploy Salesforce Service Cloud Communities. · Integrate and/or replace the existing custom force.com pages. · Configure and/or customize Salesforce Communities functionality (i.e. knowledge, chatter, feeds, web to case, email to case, etc.) to meet business requirements. · Design and develop Salesforce-based applications and enhancements leveraging lightning components and APIs. · Work with multiple technical teams to integrate and test Salesforce Service Cloud with Single Sign On, web services with PeopleSoft, ETL jobs, ServiceNow. · Perform unit, system and integration testing. · Perform data loads using tools such as Jitterbit. · Ensure Salesforce Service Cloud Communities meets the organization’s branding standards. - Collaborate with our internal technology and business teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and ensure the application meets their needs. - Apply iterative agile development process to rapidly create functional prototypes and release final product. - Participate in the full application life cycle from design to development, testing, deployment, and support. · Follow established Salesforce development standards and best practices. · Perform work in alignment with the organization’s established project management methodology. · Assist in troubleshooting difficult technical issues, perform root cause analyses and solve complex problems. · Maintain existing applications with an eye to continuous improvement and automation. · Stay current on Force.com technology changes and Salesforce releases. *Required Qualifications* - 5+ years of experience with Salesforce. - 2+ years of experience with Service Cloud. · 3+ years of recent Visualforce and Apex development experience including triggers and components. - Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems such as Single Sign On, web services, PeopleSoft, ETL jobs, ServiceNow. - Experience developing and testing solutions in complex project and technical environments. - Experience testing configurations, customizations, and integrations of Salesforce Service Cloud and Communities. · Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Apex Classes, Controllers, and Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com APIs, Jitterbit, Web Services, Lightning. · Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to share ideas both with the business and internal IT teams. · Deep understanding of software development methodologies, such as agile. · Ability to be flexible, agile, and work in a fast-paced environment. · Experience working with vendors and multiple business and technical stakeholders. · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience. *Preferred Qualifications* - Experience using web API’s with XML, SOAP & REST. - Experience developing with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and popular JavaScript framework such as jQuery. - Certification as a Salesforce administrator or developer. - Experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst.
