*Position:* Java Developer

*Candidate Location*: Madison, WI – 100% onsite

*Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.*

*Key Areas of Responsibilities*

   - Significant individual contributor performing both application design
   and coding.
   - Primary coding language will be Java where you will consistently
   write, translate, re-factor, and code software programs and applications
   according to specifications provided by our Solution Architects
   - Works with our System Administrators and other Software Development
   Engineers to assist in trouble shooting and resolving complex problems
   within our SaaS platform
   - Participate in daily stand-up meetings, planning meetings and review
   sessions (using Scrum/Agile methodology)
   - Develop and maintain automated tests, helping to improve software
   quality through automated and manual testing
   - Both participate in and lead design and code reviews.
   - Lead paired programming sessions leading and mentoring less
   experienced engineers.
   - Understand the business operations and processes on assigned projects
   - Work across both project roadmap initiatives as well as production
   systems support
   - Production Systems Support and on-call dues maybe required in this
   role.

*Required:*

   - 3+ years of software development and/or data integration experience
   - Background in Java, XML, MySQL, Hibernate, Web Services, XML, Schema,
   Mule (or other ESB experience)
   - Senior level technical development expertise in software development
   disciplines including design, coding, testing, deployment, and software
   management and integration
   - Deep understanding of OO design patterns
   - Persuasive, collaborative business acumen with the ability to drive
   business partners strategically
   - Strong communication skills both written and verbal
   - Stays up to date with changing technology by participating in
   educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining
   personal networks; participating in professional organizations
   - Initiative, results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring
   minimal direction
   - Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
   - Resiliency in the face of changing priorities and requirements
   - Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and
   daily job responsibilities
   - Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement
   for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or
   in the future
