They will be developing the full application themselves both front-end and back-end so there is no preference for strength nor a difference in time. • Where did candidates fall short in your first round of interviews? A lot of the candidates didn't seem to grasp that this is a small dev tea, so need someone with Full Stack experience, that means must be able to work across the full stack autonomously. There are no other back-end, front-end, or database teams to lean on. • What does this person need to have done with Node to make them qualified for this role? Developed a web application that used a Node as the web server. • In which area did candidates fall short on Angular or Node? Both Angular and Node are required. • What kind of previous projects or applications should this person have experience working on? This project seeks to rewrite and combine several administrative and operational tools. Existing applications are all browser based using a combination of Mongo DB, bottle.py, knockout.js , and Apache. • How important is Apache or Bottle.PY? Existing apps are developed in these technologies so candidate should be familiar with the technologies in order to understand current functionality.
