sir edward clark

Edward Clark is the artistic director and choreographer of Tripsichore Yoga
Theatre, London's acclaimed dance-theatre yoga troupe known for using
traditional yoga asanas to create inventive choreography. He was head of the
department of movement and dance at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of
Dramatic Art in London for over 20 years. Edward fuses his keen artistic vision
with a deep understanding of the essential pursuit of yoga practice. with one
foot in dance, one foot in ashtanga, and the other in sivananda yoga (for Edward
this is possible; he has been practicing yoga for over 30 years). The synthesis
of breath, asana, choreography, and philosophy clearly comes through in his
teaching. His classes are entertaining, demanding and exhilarating! Sir Ed has
never received a teacher training certificate & intends to keep it that way.

petros haffenrichter

With a Greek mother and German father, Petros learned early to embrace life as a
merging of polarities. Life is always exciting, demanding, real and the state we
are... Accepting all sides of this play as equally important and as a chance for
growth and insight is one of the challanges we can master though the practice of
hatha yoga. Petros teaches now for over 10 years in an open-hearted, honest,
funny and challenging way.

An advanced Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, Petros lives, teaches and sings in Munich,
Germany, and gives workshops, kirtans and retreats throughout the planet. He
wants to inspire his students to do whatever you do –in full awareness, and to
do it with your heart. So we can always return to that place where independently
from outer circumstance, we always will find peace: within our hearts. Many
times we'll meet obstacles on this path: our intellect, our body, our
expectations and preferences. Yoga gives us the possibility to free ourselves
from these hindrances that keep us from experiencing our true nature –free,
wild, full of love and joy and without conditioning, without fear. He is
thankful for all teachers and circumstance that give us the chance to experience
this feeling of unity, of non-separateness, to eventually learn to accept the
greatest of all teachers: our life itself. Om shanti.

kai hitzer

Kai's way into Kalari began at age 13 when he started taking martial art
lessons, including Tae Kwon Do, Ju Jutsu and Chinese Boxing. He
eventually left the martial arts for what he felt was a lack of true spiritual
depth and turned to Yoga. Since 2000 he has studied styles like Ashtanga
Vinyasa, Iyengar, Sivananda and Indian schools of traditional Hatha Yoga and
meditation. He holds an advanced teacher
certificate from the "Koodalor Mana Parampara", a lineage of traditional Hatha
Yoga which is over a thousand years old and was once recognized as the vedic
university of Southern India.

In 2004 his destination became suddenly clear to him when he was was able to
cure a slipped disc syndrom he was suffering from at the time by the means of
three simple Kalari exercises given to him by his teachers. Inspired by this
experience he soon embarked on his first trip to Kerala to continue his studies
under his teacher, Grandmaster C.M. Sherif Gurukkal of Kannur. Kai is a
certified teacher of the Kerala Kalarippayat Academy.

For Kai, Kalarippayattu combines the best of all worlds. His lessons are
characterized by a deep understanding of moving arts as well as
the underlying principles of philosophy. When not in the Kalari, Kai studies
Ayurveda, the languages and culture of and works on making
the wonderful art of Kalarippayat more accessible to students in the west.

david sye

David has been practicing Yoga for over 22 years. He began his practice of Yoga
as a direct result and in response to suffering from ulcerated colitis and a
spastic colon. He tried Tibetan Yoga and after ten sessions the tumors
disappeared. He felt better than he could ever remember and this completely
changed the course of his life. From then on yoga became his life's focus.

David taught yoga in Yugoslavia, during the Bosnian war, from which 'Yogabeats'
emerged, using the vehicle of music to drown out the conflict. He then left to
travel & study extensively in India. Returning to the UK in 1995, 'Yogabeats'™
developed as a distinct yoga style in its own right, seeing that there was an
undeclared silent war in the west, a war of stress, which decimates just as many
lives as in a real war. Through 'Yogabeats'™, pioneering work now established as
'Yoga Beats Conflict' is now taught to Palestinians in Jericcho and Jenin. David
is now involved in work with Palestinian teenagers who are involved in overt war
and the Teenagers of Glasgow, Scotland who are involved in covert war (the knife
gangs) and he is using Yoga as a way of crossing these boundaries. david's

anke zoller

As a yoga teacher with a diploma in sports science, Anke can now also go down
this path professionally and take others with her on her journey – for which she
is most grateful. She completed the yogaloft teacher training and gives great
thanks to Vero and Pushava for training her and enriching her life with a
miraculous gift. Most valuably, she starts at the root to spread the yoga seed
into the hearts of the kids. And in whomever this seed starts to grow, it gives
strength and power to them and to her for a peaceful existence.
