I have a couple of contributions....

For those that miss Brazil, which gave up intentional international broadcasting
a long time ago, there is Radio Nacional do Brasil. There is music via relays of
the FM side, news via AM relays (but very rarely any English newscasts) at
http://www.ebc.com.br/ Unlike the old international service, there is no
overmodulation or fractured English as the production values are now much
higher. With the wide network of stations across Brazil and most now with an
internet feed, you are bound to find something of interest.

An obvious station to consider is our own VOA. Hard to hear at most times of
the day in the US now, it is out there on the web and the African service is in
English at: http://www.voanews.com/english/news/africa/ VOA's broadcasts for
other world regions are also available.
