I agree, Rich.  It's pretty much a slightly modified Reciva based radio sold at
a small price premium.  The password issue strikes me as a bit of a whine.  Yes,
it's harder to do than making a call on your iPhone but it's not rocket science
and it should be a one-time task.  

The price premium over a good AM/FM radio is not that large, even if with the
"NPR" add-on.  Easy enough though to buy an equivalent and cheaper product at
other outlets.
