I'm looking forward to what the BBC iPlayer looks like when it's launched for
an international audience. While the TV programs will be a bonus what I'm
really interested in is BBC Radio. It's frustrating that the excellent iPlayer
for PC which works fine for international audiences, doesn't presently work and
that it looks as if there will be a monthly subscription fee.

Subject: [Internetradio] Demise of Microsoft Zune = less likelihood of FM and
FM IBOC radio on smart devices

Apple has only included FM capabilities on a couple of its iPod units;
upshot of the article is that radio stations will make it to smart
devices via streaming and apps, not via radio.
