Hiya John - thought that plug might be useful.  He's been commenting
on IT since it was called MIS, I believe.

We aren't a big group yet...only 55 members as of right now.  Will see
if the number bumps up.

Gang, feel free to add comments / thoughts etc... there is increasing
pressure on SW broadcasters, with Deutsche Welle and Radio Canada
International the latest to cut the amount of SW transmissions; for DW
it's the second big cut when you remember they ended transmissions
directed at North America back in 2002 or thereabouts.

Dvoark's point was one item that SW listeners long thought relevant --
that SW was portable in ways that Internet radio was not.

Nowadays thanks to wifi, wireless mesh, and 3G/4G, that is less of a
distinguishing feature here in North America.
