I don't have a smartphone of any sort at this time, but my older son has a Droid X. I can imagine some form of docking station evolving along the lines of the car cradle he has, where you can have one or two short cords (power and headphones/speaker out) that tie you in. But instead of tying into the car radio setup for hands-free use of phone and listening, your box would have the power supply, clock, and speakers. Certainly not as convenient or as elegant as the iHome for the iPhone/iPod setups with their adapters for the different sized devices that my other son has.
