I would say "not much."  WGBH supplies a lot of the PRI programming already, so 
operationally at least has been driving the network for some time already.  The 
report says that they will each continue to operate separately, so perhaps this 
provides some additional revenue for PRI (and WGBH) to develop further 
programming?

As I've written in my Worldwide Listening Guide, the structure of public radio 
in the U.S. is truly unique in its decentralized "structure" (if one can even 
call it that).  Most people perceive public radio as "NPR", but NPR is only one 
of three main program providers (the third being American Public Media--APM-- 
as you mentioned).  Furthermore, the audience perception is of some unitary 
network structure a la BBC and CBC.  Not true.  Every station is a separate 
independent entity, though some states operate as a statewide network through 
their university systems (or some other statewide entity)--such as Vermont, 
Minnesota and Wisconsin, among others.
